Understanding Man's Fall and God's Original Design

God's Original Intention

A man was made in the image of God, a spiritual being with a body to walk on the earth and enjoy the creation that was designed for Him.

The Original Design Of Man

Spirit

Man was created as a spiritual being, designed to have a flawless connection with God who is Spirit.

Body

The physical body was given so man could walk on the earth and enjoy the creation designed for him.

The Great Reversal After Sin

When man transgressed, the vice versa happened. He became the physical being with a spirit caged inside of him.

Before Sin

Man existed in spiritual connection with God, walking in harmony with his Creator.

After Sin

The flawless connection with God was severed, as man shifted in nature. God is Spirit and man was no longer living from that spiritual identity.

John 4:24 "God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."

The Separation Between Spirit And Body

The power to give the physical body energy is earthly food, and the power to give your spiritual body energy is not physical food.

The Two Hungers Of Man

The body requires physical nourishment, but the spirit requires nourishment that comes from God.

The Need For Balance

The balance must be struck in order for a man to grow spiritually and at the same time give energy to his physical body.

⚡ Feeding The Spirit

A man must receive spiritual nourishment from God in order to grow, understand His purpose and walk according to His will.

🌎 Feeding The Body

The physical body requires earthly food and care in order to function and fulfil its purpose on earth.

The Danger Of Imbalance

When The Flesh Becomes Greater Than The Spirit

When a person feeds the flesh too much and neglects the spirit, he falls into lust, which becomes the by-product of allowing physical desires to dominate.

And neglecting the physical body completely can eventually lead to the death of the body itself.

Jesus Revealed The True Source Of Life

Matthew 4:4 "But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."

Jesus revealed that man's existence is not sustained by physical food alone. There is a deeper hunger inside every human being that can only be satisfied by God.

Physical Food

Gives strength to the earthly body.

The Word Of God

Gives life, direction and strength to the spirit of man.

The Complete Man

A person who allows both body and spirit to operate according to God's design.

Restoring God's Original Design

The Purpose Of Spiritual Restoration

God's desire is not only to save man from sin, but also to restore the original order where the spirit leads and the body follows.

The renewed man learns to live from within, allowing God's Spirit to guide his thoughts, desires and actions.

Galatians 5:16 "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."

Final Reflection

Man was created as a spiritual being carrying a physical body, but after the fall, the order was reversed.

The journey of restoration is returning to God's original design, where the spirit is strengthened by God and the body becomes a vessel that fulfils His purpose.
