God, Our Father & King
God is the King, and Heaven is His place where He has set up His Kingdom—ruling in absolute power, glory, might, and strength.
He created man to rule over the Earth, establishing a relationship like a son with his Father. But when we sinned and went astray, God Himself came into the world to redeem us through His shed blood, restoring our place as His sons.
Because He is the King, we are created to reign as kings over the Earth and serve as priests—giving us direct access to His throne to rule with Him forever.
Critical Question:
What if we refuse to go back into the Kingdom of God and take our rightful place there?
Reigning as Kings & Serving as Priests
The status of a king bestowed upon us means we do not simply have to accept whatever the world throws at us. We are empowered to live above the rules and laws of this world, just as Jesus did.
Remember: "A king's word is the Law."
Refusing our place—whether willingly or through ignorance—subjects us to the spiritual death and laws of this world. Because Satan operates as the ruler of this fallen world system, ignoring God's Kingdom leaves no middle ground.
The Temple of God
The Kingdom grants us the privilege of serving as priests before the LORD, bringing internal joy and peace straight from our Creator.
When God created us, He created a dwelling place within us—we are the Temples of God. If God does not fill that place, darkness creeps in, leading to misery, fear, and torment.
As priests, we abide in His courts forever:
- Moses understood this and refused to go anywhere without God's direct presence, even when promised an angel.
- David understood this and pleaded that the Holy Spirit not depart from him.
- Saul failed to understand this and paid dearly with his life.
What is the Ultimate Prize?
We are made complete and led along the right path by God our Father Himself before the judgment of the world.
Ultimately, we become heirs of the new Earth that God has prepared for us.
