The Creation of Man and Woman
“So God created man in His own Image; in the image of God He created him; Male and Female He created them.”
— Genesis 1:27God created Mankind—"MAN"—both male and female at the same time. That is why male pronouns appear all over creation. Just like God, man was the spitting image of Him: self-sufficient, not attributed to either male or female alone, because he contained both within himself.
Then, for a reason known to God Almighty, man was placed alone. God decided to find him a helper who would be like him. Since the man contained everything within him, God performed the first surgery: removing the feminine part of the man to make it independent, creating woman (the wife, as noted in the Book of Jubilees).
When Adam awoke from that deep sleep, he recognized the result of the operation—seeing those missing parts in another standing right in front of him. He cleaved to her, called her a wife, and declared the bond of attachment.
The Work and Role of a Husband
The man was tasked with overseeing dominion of the Earth. That is why God gave instructions directly to man regarding the preservation and working of the Garden.
Leading in Marriage
A man is the head of the house, marriage, and wife. He is tasked with leading the family and connecting them directly to God.
“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”
— Genesis 18:19A Husband is a Steward, Not a Provider
Core Principle: Provision is God’s job alone. A man is called to be a steward. Any man who tries to take God’s position as provider is doomed to fail, strain his life, or lead himself to an early grave.
A woman was not designed to be the steward. When forced into that position, she cannot thrive unless God Himself intervenes. A steward requires the attribute of selflessness—a character trait designed to thrive in a man.
While a woman naturally sacrifices for her children, a steward must be able to sacrifice for the whole family, including the husband, clan, and community.
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.”
— Ephesians 5:25The true measure of a steward is his ability to lay down his life and sacrifice himself for others.
A Husband Must Be One with God
The position of a husband can only be fulfilled when a man learns to be one with God—hearing Him, seeing Him, and receiving from Him. Without this connection, a man cannot receive from God and falls into the trap of becoming a provider in his own strength.
This reliance on self opens doors for stress, fear, and bondage—allowing the devil to chain men with false promises of provision.
Mirroring God on Earth
A husband mirrors God in the world and serves as the glory of his wife.
To rule his family justly as a King and Priest, a husband needs the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It cannot be faked or imitated—it must be generated internally by the Holy Spirit.
This is why the worldly view of marriage fails—because true covenant marriage requires the supernatural fruit of God’s Spirit.
