MAN’S HIGHEST TREASON MET WITH MERCY: WHY DID GOD HAVE TO DIE?
The King whom humanity rejected became the Savior who came to rescue humanity.
If you live in any territory or kingdom and you want to become a king in that territory, it means only one thing: you have to set up a coup and kill the king. And to make sure no one comes to challenge you, you make sure you kill all his heirs and all his relatives.
To be king is to shed blood.
What the devil whispered to Eve was high treason, because the meaning of “you will be like God” means you will be God. That simply means God will no longer be your King, your God, etc.
That’s why the first law made between Adam and God was:
Simply meant: if you commit treason, you will die.
But the death sentence wasn’t actually 100% punishment. The LORD left a loophole in it that if we ever came to that point, we wouldn’t have to face eternity of punishment like angels, but be given a second chance, resurrected, and be restored back to what we have lost.
So man died, severed connection with God, meaning being stripped of his title and identity. All was stripped from him, including his inheritance—the Earth.
Because a son of God was supposed to be the one to rule the world.
You can’t rule anything without authority and power behind you, so man became like an animal with a nature of God, and the devils took his position, torturing him, making sure he never again regained what we had lost.
But God had another plan.
To reach out, since He is God, and He made a pact with man, that if you do this, I will restore you to be My son again and you will no longer die.
There comes the Law of Moses
An impossible law to uphold—ain’t no lawyer—but an agreement between two parties will only be nullified upon the death of one party. So goes marriage: a person dies, marriage is gone.
So from the beginning, man lost everything, including all given men of God. All lost—David, Moses—no one was able to uphold his end.
But God already knew this, so He prepared a temporary place in Hades, called Paradise, where righteous souls go before judgment, awaiting Jesus to come and preach grace to them, to sign a new contract of grace and go to Heaven.
So God decided to come, take on the body, uphold every word on the contract, and stand in the place of man and uphold it.
And explain it in a way that even the Law itself was just a love language of God to man.
As every article in there meant to protect a man, making him healthy and successful, but yet couldn’t accomplish to repair a relationship between man and his God.
It’s like a household and having rules so that your children follow them perfectly to the dot. Will there be peace? Yes. But that’s no guarantee of a great relationship between you and your children.
So God fulfilled the Law and died in God’s position.
It means, on the occasion of the death of one partner, the agreement is nullified immediately, so a man becomes free immediately.
That’s why it’s written that the tombs that stored great men of God all broke loose, and these people of God were seen for a while in areas at that time:
“And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”Matthew 27:52–53
Then they ascended to Paradise to wait for us, after the end of the world.
So that’s what happened.
Jesus came to nullify the agreement by fulfilling man’s part by obeying the full Law of Moses, but mostly also going and acting as part of God.
He died, so that nullified the whole Law, stripping its power, and in its place putting a new agreement, which works through grace and mercy.
Which provides:
